The Greatest
Für fast zwei Jahre war ich hier nicht mehr aktiv. Ich wusste einfach nichts mehr zu sagen. Meine Energie reichte gerade noch dafür, halbwegs regelmäßig etwas auf Instagram zu posten.
Auch jetzt habe ich eigentlich keine großen Neuigkeiten mitzuteilen. Ich habe zwischenzeitlich versucht, meinen fotocommunity.de-Account wiederzubeleben – aber diese Phase meines Lebens scheint vorbei zu sein. Dafür habe ich einiges an Content bei Patreon.com angelegt.
Das „Internet“ tut mir oft einfach nicht gut. Es zieht mich runter, macht mich neidisch und kratzt an meinem ohnehin geringen Selbstbewusstsein.
Ob ich hier auf striking wieder dauerhaft aktiv sein kann, weiß ich noch nicht. Manchmal habe ich das Gefühl, dem Anspruch hier gar nicht gerecht zu werden. Ich bin kein Künstler. Ich mache Bilder, schlicht und ergreifend, weil ich es gerne tue. Wenn ich fotografiere, habe ich meistens keine tiefgründige Meta-Ebene im Kopf, sondern eher den Gedanken: „Das könnte gut, cool, interessant, anders, sexy oder provokant aussehen.“ Mein künstlerischer Anspruch endet meistens schon bei der Konvertierung eines Bildes in Schwarz-Weiß.
Im November letzten Jahres hatte ich die Gelegenheit, mit Veronika Bilder zu machen. Ich hatte ziemlich genau ein Jahr zuvor schon einmal mit ihr Bilder gemacht; sie war damals gerade 18 geworden und hat mich sofort in ihren Bann gezogen. Sie hatte eine seltsam naive Unbekümmertheit, war vollkommen unverkrampft und offen für alle Ideen.
Ich habe sie bei unserem Shooting im letzten November spontan gefragt, ob sie bereit wäre, Teil meines „scribbled lines“-Projekts zu werden. In ihr sah ich die perfekte Leinwand für einen Song, den ich schon länger für mein Projekt nutzen wollte.

Als Beleuchtung nutzte ich ein einfaches Ringlicht, welches ich mir vor Jahren mal aus einer Laune heraus beim großen Strom gekauft hatte. Ich mag dieses Licht inzwischen total. Und, auch wenn das Licht vielleicht nicht direkt zum Text passt, so ist seine raue Direktheit doch absolut passend zu meiner Stimmung.

Workshop Nude Portrait

On July 30th, 2023 I will host another photo workshop.
The main topic of the workshop will be portraits and nude portraits. The goal is not to let nudity become the defining element of the nude portraits.
We will start with a small round to introduce and get to know each other. A short theoretical part follows about the conditions in the location, the peculiarities of the light in the location and the special features of nude portraits. Afterwards it is photographed directly.
The focus is on having fun with photography. the eye for the picture, the recognition and use of existing possibilities, and, if necessary, the handling and communication with the model.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced photographers, as I will respond individually to the needs of each participant during the workshop.
A reflex camera or system camera with high-speed lenses is helpful. the targeted sharpness and a carefully chosen blur area are important components in nude photography.
The workshop will take place in Solingen (Kottendorfer Str. 21 in 42697 Solingen, 4th floor). You can park on the street in front of the studio or in the yard if something is free there. The enchanting Vanessa will be available to us as a model.

We will start with a small breakfast to introduce and get to know each other.
There follows a short theory part about the conditions in the location, the peculiarities of the light in the location and the special features of nude portraits. Afterwards it is photographed directly.
The focus is on having fun with photography. the eye for the picture, the recognition and use of existing possibilities, and, if necessary, the handling and communication with the model.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced photographers, as I will respond individually to the needs of each participant during the workshop.
A single-lens reflex camera or system camera with high-speed lenses is important. the targeted sharpness and a carefully selected blur area are important components in nude photography.
The workshop takes place in my little Studio in Euskirchen. Please note that there are enough parking spaces in the area.
The enchanting Iryna will be available to us as a model.

On February 27th, 2022 I will finally be holding a photo workshop again after a long break.
The main topic of the workshop will be portraits and nude portraits. The aim is not to let nudity become the defining element of the nude portraits.
We will start with a small round to introduce and get to know each other. There follows a short theory part about the conditions in the location, the peculiarities of the light in the location and the special features of nude portraits. Afterwards it is photographed directly.

The workshop takes place in the penthouse loft of the Loft Studio Cologne (Richard Wagner Str. 18 in 50674 Cologne, 4th floor). Please note that there are almost no parking spaces in the area, but the Rudolfplatz car park is only about 300m away. The enchanting Antonia will be available to us as a model.

The 2G+ rules are a prerequisite for participation. A certified test from a test center that is not older than 24 hours or a current quick test are required in addition to the 2G proof. Quick test for a current test on site are available for each participant.
It is possible to bring up to three pictures (on paper) to the review. And if there is still interest at the end, I would be happy to explain how I prepare my pictures for publication.
