Für fast zwei Jahre war ich hier nicht mehr aktiv. Ich wusste einfach nichts mehr zu sagen. Meine Energie reichte gerade noch dafür, halbwegs regelmäßig etwas auf Instagram zu posten.

Auch jetzt habe ich eigentlich keine großen Neuigkeiten mitzuteilen. Ich habe zwischenzeitlich versucht, meinen fotocommunity.de-Account wiederzubeleben – aber diese Phase meines Lebens scheint vorbei zu sein. Dafür habe ich einiges an Content bei Patreon.com angelegt.
Das „Internet“ tut mir oft einfach nicht gut. Es zieht mich runter, macht mich neidisch und kratzt an meinem ohnehin geringen Selbstbewusstsein.

Ob ich hier auf striking wieder dauerhaft aktiv sein kann, weiß ich noch nicht. Manchmal habe ich das Gefühl, dem Anspruch hier gar nicht gerecht zu werden. Ich bin kein Künstler. Ich mache Bilder, schlicht und ergreifend, weil ich es gerne tue. Wenn ich fotografiere, habe ich meistens keine tiefgründige Meta-Ebene im Kopf, sondern eher den Gedanken: „Das könnte gut, cool, interessant, anders, sexy oder provokant aussehen.“ Mein künstlerischer Anspruch endet meistens schon bei der Konvertierung eines Bildes in Schwarz-Weiß.


Im November letzten Jahres hatte ich die Gelegenheit, mit Veronika Bilder zu machen. Ich hatte ziemlich genau ein Jahr zuvor schon einmal mit ihr Bilder gemacht; sie war damals gerade 18 geworden und hat mich sofort in ihren Bann gezogen. Sie hatte eine seltsam naive Unbekümmertheit, war vollkommen unverkrampft und offen für alle Ideen.

Ich habe sie bei unserem Shooting im letzten November spontan gefragt, ob sie bereit wäre, Teil meines „scribbled lines“-Projekts zu werden. In ihr sah ich die perfekte Leinwand für einen Song, den ich schon länger für mein Projekt nutzen wollte.

Als Beleuchtung nutzte ich ein einfaches Ringlicht, welches ich mir vor Jahren mal aus einer Laune heraus beim großen Strom gekauft hatte. Ich mag dieses Licht inzwischen total. Und, auch wenn das Licht vielleicht nicht direkt zum Text passt, so ist seine raue Direktheit doch absolut passend zu meiner Stimmung.

Last week we implemented the idea again after three years.
I asked this community about the reuse of an older idea and decided that it doesn't matter and that I don't care if someone likes it or not.

One of my favorite works is painting models in some way and then photographing the result.

I would like to use strkng to find models for this type of photography.

As a long-time user of strkng, I would like to use the feedback section to consider together with other users how strkng should change in order to remain interesting in the future. For me, the problem is that I have not been able to assign new stars for a long time and also cannot put users on my list without removing others. This will certainly be the case for many, that's why the list of photographers and models is stagnating. For years, the same photographers have been in the first places, although they are no longer really active. New pictures and photographers hardly get any stars.

Maybe you are interested in collecting a few ideas to increase the attractiveness of strkng again.

During my shoots, I always experiment with images in which the model is not the focus. Sometimes randomly just with misfocus, but if possible I look for another point to set the focus. Here I was lucky that there was a small step between the floorboards that forms the sharpening point.
Second one is a nearly conventional picture, what do you prefer?
Do you like experimental photography, do you maybe do it yourself in any way?
Though you don't really see a lot go her, I like to thank the wonderful Jinny, she's a very special, unique model.

If you had asked me ten years ago if you could make a portrait with 50mm, I would have said vehemently that this is far too wide-angle. for me the only possible lens for people was 85mm. Today I even make portraits with 35mm focal length, and I say it don't matter what lens you use when you use it the right way.

Can you tell me which picture was made with which lens, I used every mentioned lens: 35mm, 50mm, 85mm

Every now and then I book a professional model for a shooting. If working with this model is successful, I book her again.
In a discussion about paying a model for free artistic work with another photographer he asked me why I pay for a model when I’ve already seen her naked.
Is it only me who is thinking this is a weird question?
I don’t know with what intentions this photographer is taking pictures from nude models. For me his question implies that one only makes nude art just to collect as much naked models as possible.
Since then the question why I shoot nudity is puzzling me. What about you. Why are you Shootings nude models? Why are you shoot the same model again? Why do you shoot with new models? And why do you pay for it or why don’t you?
